About The Artist
Born in Richmond Virginia then moved with her family to New Canaan Connecticut. In 1957 I moved to Hollywood, Florida finishing High School and Hollywood College of Beauty. I worked as a colorist and hair stylist and developed a keen interest in the arts. First in ceramics, and then china painting eventually fine arts and sculpture. I have been creating art as an outlet for my creativity for the last 30 years. I have always been interested in color, form and texture. By applying these principles to express my inspiration and ideas for my artwork I have been fortunate to study with many talented artists and I am still learning. I have been a member of Pembroke Pines Art Guild for 25 years. The last 5 years as President of the Guild. I am also a member of the Hollywood Art Guild and the Weston Art Guild.
I have had exhibitions of my work at the Glass Gallery in Pembroke Pines, Florida. My art work was chosen for promotional material and won First Prize.
